Mates On The Move

We collect your commercial waste ensuring it’s put to good use.

At Mates on the Move, we help you divert waste by providing a collection service for these problem waste streams.

Paper Towels and Coffee Cups

We collect used paper towels and coffee cups and help turn them into Processed Engineered Fuel (PEF).

It’s estimated 254 million tonnes of paper towels and 16 billion coffee cups go to landfill globally each year.

Coffee cups and paper towel waste is collected by Mates on the Move and taken to a facility, ground down and mixed with wood and other PEF material to make large bricks which are used as an alternative to fossil fuel in the cement making industry in regional NSW. Coffee cups and paper towels are a perfect waste stream for Processed Engineered Fuel (PEF) owing to their high calorific content.

Polystyrene Recycling

We collect loose, cold or hot compressed polystyrene and transfer it to a licensed recycling facility.

Polystyrene is a problem waste stream that usually ends up in landfill.

Mates on the Move has found a local alternative, where we are able to collect loose, cold or hot compressed polystyrene and transfer it to a licensed recycling facility, avoiding landfill.

Glass and Container Deposit Recycling

We collect eligible items under the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) such as glass, plastic and aluminium.

Under the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), Mates on the Move collects glass, plastic and aluminium single use items which can provide an income that either offsets your transport costs, or can be donated to Prisoners Aid NSW (or another charity of your choice).

CDS materials are highly recyclable and are turned into high-grade recycled products with a strong market value.
